Healthy eating is good for you because if you always eat in an unhealthy way it would make your body fail. I feel that unhealthy foods taste good, but healthy foods are good for you. Every person likes different things. I like sweets, but not healthy foods.
Healthy Eating at Home
My idea of healthy food is vegetables. Vegetables usually taste bad, so to make them taste not so bad, I usually add a few things. A few things I add are spices. They don’t make it unhealthy, but add a little more flavor to the otherwise bland veggies.
My mother makes chicken burgers at home. She makes it healthy by buying plant based burgers and not using a lot of oil. Like my mom, you can make healthy foods a little healthier too.
Healthy eating for me is eating healthy foods for a few days then having some unhealthy foods once in a while. When I say unhealthy I mean ice cream, brownies, chocolate, cake, etc. You could eat unhealthy food every Saturday or over the weekends.
Keeping Track of Unhealthy Eating
If you are trying to help a child eat healthier, instead of unhealthy foods on the weekend, you should give them one unhealthy thing when they do something good.
Also the limit should be 3 unhealthy things a week because some kids who love eating unhealthy will do some good things, and then there is no point in keeping track of how much. Another thing to consider is that if there is any special event that has unhealthy food items, then the kids should be allowed to eat them, even if they passed the limit for a week.
Healthy Eating for Teenagers
When you are a teenager you want to eat more unhealthy foods, but you need to resist the urge to eat unhealthy foods. One thing that can help is following a routine.
First, (especially for people who love to eat unhealthy food) you should eat it seven times a week. Then, next month make it a bit more difficult, and have it six times a week. Then, next week, five times a week.
You get my point – however many times a week you eat unhealthy, the next month you should subtract one day of unhealthy eating from each week. When you get to zero you should eat unhealthy once a month, or once every two months.
Simple Ingredients to Substitute Unhealthy Eating
Here are a few healthy items that can replace unhealthy items.
Instead of sugar you can use “sugar free” sweetener.
Instead of flour, you could use soy bean flour, whole-wheat flour or multigrain flour.
Instead of chocolate chips, you could use various kinds of nuts.
And instead of full-fat cream, you could add yogurt or coconut cream in your dish.
Unhealthy eating is bad for you, but if you keep a routine of how many times you are eating healthy and unhealthy things, things will get better. If you don’t eat too much unhealthy foods, you will be okay. I hope this article helped you.
Why Mom Stops Me From Over Eating Ice Cream
When I was younger my school would have ice cream parties. Everyone would be happy when their class won. This is more than enough proof that everyone likes ice cream. I love ice cream for three reasons: it is delicious, delicious, and delicious. To go into more details, my favorite ice cream isn’t just one particular flavor, but I love other flavors like banana, blueberry, and Oreos, etc. Overall I like all ice creams, even coffee – especially coffee.

On a Friday, I went home craving ice cream. When I reached home I put down my shoes and backpack and went to the kitchen. I opened the freezer and got out the banana chocolate ice cream. I got a bowl and a scoop. I scooped out a big scoop of ice cream. After finishing the first batch I scooped out a second batch. After finishing that I was about to get another scoop when my mom asked me to stop. I put the ice cream in the freezer, while she told me to sit down.
First, my mother told me ice cream was bad. Second, my mother told me that ice cream had way too much calories. It could lead to the accumulation of extra fat in the body, which could lead to obesity. Being obese at a young age could lead to several health problems in children. It could lead to high blood pressure and increased blood sugar levels. In addition, extra calories can make you feel lazy and slow you down. You do not have any energy left for doing any important work. This was new and a lot of information for me to process, but she wasn’t done.
Next, my mother also told me that there were too many artificial flavors used in ice creams. The banana and chocolate ice cream that I was enjoying so much also contained artificial flavors. They were basically made from chemicals and combined with some preservatives that big companies use to keep food fresh for longer periods, it added to a lot of chemicals in the body.
Finally, my mom also told me that ice creams had a lot of food coloring. While natural food colors are being used to a large extent, artificial colors are also used extensively. That is why the ice cream looks so bright and beautiful, but it does not make it very healthy. Besides, the sprinkles added on top or the chocolate chips toppings also adds to the sugar.
After hearing this I was astonished that something so good was so bad. Now that I knew, I promised myself that I wouldn’t eat too much ice cream and I wouldn’t eat it always. Now that you know, will you continue hurting your body or will you not eat ice cream too much?
